  • Hybrid of genres (Multiple genres)
  • Linear (Beginning, middle, end )
  • Non Linear (Flashbacks)
  • No formal dialogue, show don't tell, Monologue/voice overs
  • Open ending (It could go on)
  • Closed ending
  • realist (could happen in real life)
  • Anti-realist (couldn't happen in reality)

We also checked out these websites for short  films

  • BBC.filmnetwork
  • Vimeo

we watched a film called Joyride which can be found on cinema 16, this was a horror. this short film was

  • Linear because it a beginning middle and end.
  • It was a Realist film because it could happen.
  • Single strand Narrative because it was coming from the electrical mans view.
  • And it had a closed ending because The guy died.

Signs by Patrick Hughes

  • Linear
  • Anti-realist
  • Single strand
  • Open ending because we don't know what happens after they meet.

  1. Clear and concise analysis of the two short films that shows a great understanding of the terminology. Very well done
